Panama tends to be an overlooked travel destination in Central America but I found it to be a great destination for hiking enthusiasts. Here’s my Panama hiking overview with my thoughts, favorites and dislikes about hiking in this beautiful country.
Located in the middle of the Panama highlands, Lost and Found Hostel is the ultimate stop for every kind of backpacker. Although 2 nights is minimum stay requirement, I recommend spending 3 nights here to explore all of the hiking trails and take advantage of the activities offered by Lost and Found Hostel.
Despite a metro area of 1.4 million people, there are places where you can escape the noise and go hiking in Panama City. These spots are friendly for the budget traveler with excellent views of the surrounding area.
